As an Associate Creative Director at Insomniac Design, you’ll work closely with the Creative Director to develop and execute design concepts for complex client projects. This position will motivate creative team members, serve as a hands-on design leader, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and effectively present client solutions.
Digital portfolios are required for this position and will be reviewed as a part of the application process. We encourage you to showcase your innovation, use of emerging technologies, and knowledge of design techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Define creative solutions inline with client business and strategic goals.
- Integrate creative strategy, information architecture, user flows, and functional requirements into dynamic and interactive design solutions.
- Guide our work from concept to execution within the project’s creative scope.
- Ensure consistency and diligence in meeting deliverable deadlines.
- Lead and participate in brainstorming sessions.
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to creative team members.
- Evaluate team performance and guide improvements through constructive direction.
- Maintain and ensure the highest standards of interactive creative design execution.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in visual design, graphic design, user experience, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in creative direction across brand, interactive, and web.
- 3+ years of experience leading a team of creative talent.
- 2+ years of experience partnering with clients to conceptualize design solutions.
- Expertise with interactive design, UX/UI, and digital art direction.
- Ability to create design systems, component libraries, and visual frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with internal strategy, account, and technical teams.
- Knowledge of how visual design solutions translate into technical and functional requirements.
- Experience utilizing creative tools including Adobe CS, Figma/FigJam, Sketch, Marvel, Zeplin, and Miro.
- Experience utilizing content management systems such as Drupal or WordPress.
- Experience using productivity tools such as Google Analytics and Atlassian Suite.
