Vice President of Business Development

As the Vice President of Business Development at Insomniac Design, you’ll partner with executive leadership to build upon existing business relationships, garner new clients, and drive revenue growth. The Vice President of Business Development will target mid-to-enterprise sized companies regarding their unique digital transformation needs. Ideally you’ll utilize your existing network of established connections to immediately impact revenue goals. This will include high-level client contacts within Fortune 500 companies, commercial and consumer brands, as well as other companies that are leading innovation in their industry.
  • Establish a strategic growth plan that reflects our current portfolio of services and potential offerings within digital transformation
  • Spearhead marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and strengthen client relations (both existing and new)
  • Perform market analysis, oversee lead funnels, and manage pipelines
  • Utilize personal networks to uncover leads and successfully convert them into revenue
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to identify potential clients and growing target industries
  • Partner with our design team and/or outside vendors to develop sales and marketing collateral that clearly define our offerings
  • Assist in the development of quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Attend conferences, arrange speaking engagements, and participate in networking communities and relevant associations
  • Build upon existing sales processes and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and business development best practices
Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of B2B business development experience in digital transformation or information technology services
  • Established network of contacts who have utilized digital transformation services
  • Deep understanding of digital agency work including product strategy, design, and development
  • Proven success growing a portfolio of new business and meeting quotas
  • Experience responding to RFPs, navigating procurement processes, and closing business
  • Ability to independently lead pitches and presentations to executive-level audiences
  • History of delivering customer success and managing overall client satisfaction
  • Prior experience attending industry networking events and conferences
  • Experience utilizing sales enablement tools and CRMs such as Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Business Navigator, ZoomInfo, or Discovery.org
