As a React (NextJS) Developer with Insomniac Design you’ll use your exceptional programming skills to connect back-end with the front-end applications. Typical projects include websites/web apps, software platforms, mobile apps, product development... and there is plenty more!
This position requires a combination of programming skills (TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JS, etc.) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on screen, color and font choices, etc.). Top candidates will have a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred, as well as an understanding of the entire web development process — including design, development and deployment, and back-end knowledge.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement responsive user interface components using React concepts.
- Maintain existing React systems, including fixing bugs.
- Maintain and update project dependencies as well as fix any conflicts.
- Work with our JavaScript developers and software engineers to develop front-end and back-end architecture that’s well structured and flexible, along with the APIs to support it.
Experience
- 2+ years experience in React (NextJS) web development.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages.
- Experience with Next.js, GraphQL (Relay, Apollo, or similar), Typescript, styled-components, and user interface design.
- Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
- Experience with browser-based debugging and performance testing software.
- Familiarity and proficiency with project management best practices for the web.
